No. You add a browser source to OBS and turn on OBS’s WebSocket server (built into OBS 28 and later). The browser source talks to OBS on your PC and connects out to NOALBS Cloud, so there’s nothing to forward on your router.
Your stream keeps going. OBS stays on whatever scene it was on and you can switch by hand as always. The browser source reconnects by itself, and switching picks up again.
It’s stored encrypted and only sent to your own browser source. The browser-source link is shown once when you make it; we keep only a hash of it. Stream server passwords and API keys are write-only, so the dashboard never shows them again.
The one your encoder already sends to. NOALBS reads its stats page, so a BELABOX Cloud relay, an SRT Live Server or MediaMTX on a VPS, or a hosted IRL server all work. Add a second one as a backup and NOALBS uses whichever has a feed, by priority. Streaming from your phone straight to Twitch or Kick? Then there’s no server for NOALBS to read, or for OBS to play your feed from: send to one of those first.
Yes. Operators can switch scenes and run the stream without seeing your stats URLs or keys. Admins can also change settings and invite people. In chat you decide which commands moderators, VIPs, subscribers or everyone may use.
The free plan covers one switcher with switching, remote control, chat commands and BELABOX and Moblin control. Pro adds more switchers, stream servers and team members, longer history and your own chat bot. You can see the plans after signing in.
